Olallie Lake Resort
Cabins, yurts, camping, fishing, boating, and hiking available at this beautiful scenic and quiet privately operated resort on Mt. Hood National Forest. Please be mindful of the remote nature of the Olallie Lake Scenic Area. There is no cell phone service. The roads are rough and there are no gas stations or auto repair shops, so have your gas tank full and come prepared.

Current Conditions: | 5/15/24 update: The route in from Detroit (Forest Service Road 46) is open, but be prepared for road construction delays. Check the Willamette National Forest website for more information. Several parts of the Olallie Lake Scenic Area were impacted by the Lionshead Fire. However, the majority of the resort survived the fire and is open. Please contact the resort for details. |

General Information
Directions:Closed and snowed out in winter months.
From Estacada, OR - Take Hwy 224, which turns into FR 46, to Ripplebrook Store. Continue about 22 miles and then turn left onto 4690. In about 9 miles turn right onto 4220 (at the gate) and continue 5 miles to the resort.
From Portland, OR - Take Hwy 26 to FR 42 (Timothy Lake/Skyline Rd turnoff). Continue on FR 42 for 18 miles on a two-lane road, when it will then turn into a one-land road. Continue on FR 42 (single lane) for about 4.5 miles and turn left onto FR 4220. Continue 3 miles on paved FR 4220 and then 4 miles on gravel FR 4220 to the Olallie gate. Continue 5 more miles on FR 4220 to the resort. (From Portland, you can take I-84 E to Hwy 26, or Hwy 224 to Hwy 212 to Hwy 26.)

Recreation areas with activity Cabin Rentals:Cabin and Yurt Accomodations: 3 Small Cabins: One room sleeps 3, includes 1 double bed and 1 single roll away bed. 1 Medium Cabin: One room, sleeps 4 includes 1 double bed and 1 single set of bunk beds. 1 Medium Cabin: One room, sleeps 4, includes 2 double beds. 5 Large Cabins: Sleeps 4 adults and 2 children, includes 2 queen beds and 2 single floor mattresses. All large cabins have a partition wall between the living room and sleeping area. 1 Historic Guard Station: Sleeps 8, inlcudes loft with 1 queen bed, living room with 2 double foutons, and a bedroom with 1 set of single bunk beds. Has a private outhouse. Inside the Cabins: The Cabins include beds with fitted sheets, wood stove for heat. ( Wood is provided cut and split at a nearby wood shed.)Dresser area with coutertops and shelving, dining table and chairs, dish pans, tea kettle, water bucket, broom and dustpan. Each cabin provides parking for two vehicles. No campers, trailers or tents are allowed in the cabin areas. Two sets of Outhouses are centralized in the cabin area. Bottled water is available at the store. 2 Two Bedroom Yurts 22' Round: Sleeps 6, includes 2 queen beds, and 1 double sofa sleeper. Inside the Yurts: The Yurts include fitted sheets, coutertops and shelving, food storage box, dining table and chairs, tea kettle, dust pan and broom. Water bucket, picnic table and a compfire ring. 2 bedroom yurts have parking for two vehicles. Small two person tents may be used at the yurt sites.
