Southshore Trail #529

  

This trail travels along the south of Timothy Lake. There are great views of Timothy Lake the entire way and several spectacular views of Mount Hood.  

This trail travels from it’s junction with Pacific Crest Trail #2000 along the south shore of Timothy Lake to it’s junction with Timothy Lake Trail #528 at the southwest end of Timothy Lake.  This trail passes through several campgrounds, boat ramps and beaches along the south shore of Timothy Lake.

Directions:

From Portland, OR - to the west end of the trail, take U.S. Hwy 26 40.2 miles southeast of Sandy to Skyline Road (Forest Road 42). Turn right at the sign (Forest Road 42), and continue 8.3 miles to the junction with Forest Road 57. Turn right and continue 3.6 miles to the dam. Turn right and drive 0.1 miles to a road intersection. Turn right on a gravel road and travel 0.1 miles to the Timothy Lake #528 trailhead parking area.
