Paul Dennis (Olallie Lake) Campground

Paul Dennis Campground is located on the north shore of Olallie Lake. Hiking, fishing, and canoeing are popular activities here. High elevation snow limits access into the Olallie Lake area until June in most seasons. Located in the Olallie Lake Scenic Area.

General Information

Directions:

From Estacada, OR - drive south on Highway 224 for 45 miles. The road becomes Forest Service Road 46. From Road 46, turn east onto Forest Service Road 4690 and drive 6 miles on pavement, then about 3 miles on gravel, to a junction with Forest Road 4220. Turn south and continue 4 miles to Olallie Lake Resort.  Turn left at the resort and continue past the resort buildings to Paul Dennis Campground.  The roads are closed in the winter.

Hiking trails wind throughout the lake-filled Olallie Lake scenic area, including the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, which heads south into the Mount Jefferson Wilderness.
