Tanner Springs Trail #401E

Area Status: Closed

This trail is in the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness. This is a short trail to Tanner Spring from the Tanner Butte Trail #401. This trail is well worth the side trip especially if backpacking in the area and water is needed. It begins at Tanner Butte Trail #401, 6.7 miles south of the trailhead at US Hwy I-84, exit #40, and ends at Tanner Springs. The trail becomes faint towards the spring so some route-finding is likely. This is a good place to fill up with water.
