Section "C" is  now OPEN as well as the following sites from the "B" section: 27, 28, 29, 31, 36, 37, and 38. The other sections are CLOSED  due to hazard trees.

Indian Henry Campground is located in the Mount Hood National Forest, along the scenic Clackamas River. The campground is a great location for relaxation and a spectacular outdoor experience, providing ample access to the river and the surrounding wilderness, as well as other scenic spots in the area.

At a Glance

Current Conditions: 05/29/20: Site will remain CLOSED for safety of public and employees. Will open later in season.
Reservations: Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. To reserve a site call Reserve America at 1-877-444-6777 or through the internet at www.recreation.gov (International 518-885-3639 or TDD 877-833-6777). Only "C" and "B" sections are open.
Fees
  • Camping: $22/night for single site, $8/night for extra vehicle
  • Day use: $5/day/vehicle

  • Camping: 50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age or Golden Access.

Directions:

From Portland, OR - follow the directions above to OR Hwy 224. Follow OR Hwy 224 26.7 miles to Forest Road 4620 (approximately 0.75 mile south of milepost 45). Turn right onto Forest Road 4620. Travel less than 0.5 mile and turn right into the paved trailhead parking lot across from the Indian Henry Campground.
