Cabins, yurts, camping, fishing, boating, and hiking available at this beautiful scenic and quiet privately operated resort on Mt Hood National Forest. Please be mindful of the remote nature of the Olallie Lake Scenic Area. There is no cell phone sevive. be mindful the roads can be rough and there are no gas stations or auto repair shops so have your gas tank full and come prepared.

Restrictions: Forest Service Permit Regulations requires that all dogs be kept on a leash. Well behaved dogs are allowed , however, if your dogs likes to bark or is threatening - then please board your dog. Do not leave dog unattended in the cabins or yurts. No exotic pets are allowed. No swiming in Olallie Lake.

General Information

Directions:

From Estacada, OR - drive south on Highway 224 for 26 miles.  The road becomes Forest Service Road 46. From road 46 for 20 miles, turn east on to Forest Service Road 4690 and drive 6 miles on pavement, then about 3 miles on gravel, to a junction with Forest Road 4220. Turn south and continue 4 miles toward Olallie Lake Resort.  The roads are closed in the winter.

Day Hiking

The walk around Olallie Lake is approximately 3 miles. This can make a nice run as well. There are many trails to many high mountain lakes: Cigar lake, Long lake, Horseshoe lake, Monon Lake and many many more. Maps will be available in the Store.

Backpacking

The Pacific Crest Trail winds through the Olallie Lake Scenic Area - so you can go as far north as Canada and as far south as Mexico. At times you will meet people who are doing the whole trek.
