Summit Ski Area

In the center of Government Camp, Summit Resort is known for its tubing hill and is also a popular place to learn to ski, snowboard and snowshoe. With one chairlift, Summit is an alternative to the more expensive ski areas nearby on Mount Hood. The ski area, which dates to 1927, also runs the weekend sliding hill at Snow Bunny, 1.5 miles east on U.S. 26.
