Timothy Lake (PGE) Trailhead

  

Timothy Lake in the shadow of Oregon's Mt. Hood. The surrounding forest setting offers spectacular views, several trails for exploration and abundant fishing. Provides access to: Timothy Lake Trail #528.

Toilet and picnic tables available in the nearby campground.

  

Capacity for 10 medium sized vehicles.

Directions:

From Government Camp, OR - follow US-26 east for about 11.5 miles. Then go right onto Forest Road 42/Oregon Skyline Road. Follow Forest Road 42 for about 8.3 miles. Then take Forest Road 57 towards Timothy Lake for about 3.5 miles to the PGE West- Dam trailhead.

Boating - Non-Motorized

Recreation areas with activity Boating - Non-Motorized: Canoeing and boating in Timothy Lake. Boat ramps at sites located at the southern end of the lake. You can also portage to Meditation Point campground.

Recreation areas with activity Boating - Motorized: Boating in Timothy Lake. 10 mph speed limit for motorized boats. An artificial lake, it has many developed campgrounds, and is one of a few lakes on the Mt. Hood National Forest that allows motorized boating.
