Alpine Trail


Alpine Trail is a steep 2.1 mile trail that travels from Government Camp area to Timberline Lodge. In the winter many people ski from Timberline down to Government Camp. This trail is not recommended for cross-country skiers. In the summer and early fall the trail has an abundance of huckleberries.

General Information


From Sandy, OR - travel east on Highway 26 past Government Camp to State Highway 173 towards Timberline Lodge.   Travel about 5 miles up Timberline Road (173) and turn left into the campground.
