Ripley Lake Recreation Area is a primitive fishing and picnic area. Forest Road 3240 is gravel. Ripley Lake Recreation Area is a 29 acre lake that is 30 feet at its deepest and has good bass and catfish populations. Boats are permitted but only electric motors are allowed. Besides an afternoon of fishing or boating, visitors can drive or walk the many forest roads and pick berries in season, squirrel hunt in the surrounding National Forest, or enjoy the wildflowers of spring or brilliant colors of fall. No drinking water available at site.

General Information

Directions: From Doniphan, MO take Hwy 160 west 8 miles to Hwy C; turn north on C for about a mile. Turn right onto gravel Forest Road 3240 at the entrance sign. Follow this road about a mile to the lake.
