Johnson Bar Campground provides picnic areas, toilet, drinking water, RV/Trailer pads and seven campsites with a reservable group camping spot as well! The picnic area and some campground sites are wheelchair accessible, and there is a nice swimming beach. Rafting in the river is a popular activity in the spring and anglers will enjoy the catch and release fishing in the Selway River.
To make reservations, visit Johnson Bar on Recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777. This site does have a reservable group site, with a maximum stay of 7 nights.
Fees
The campground units are $8.00 per night and the group site is $40.00 per night.

Directions:
From Kooskia, go east 22 miles on US 12 and south nearly 4 miles on Forest Road 223.
Activities include picnicking and dayhiking. You can mountain bike on nearby trails or plan a multiple day backpack.

This is an open flat area right next to the Selway River. There are RV pads for that type of camping. There is a beach, boating access, fishing opportunities.

For your group you will find picnic tables and a fire pit. This Group Site is situated between a paved road and the Selway River. There is beach access for water play. This is a good starting point for fishing.
