Cold Springs Peak Cabin

The Colds Springs Peak Cabin sits among steep cliffs and evergreen trees.

Originally built in 1931, qualifying for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places, this small 12’x14’ primitive cabin originally built to shelter Forest Service firefighters and work crews, sleeps up to 2 guests and offers a unique recreation experience. The cabin is positioned around near-vertical cliffs with panoramic views of the Bitterroot Mountains and into a small alpine lake and meadow below.  This remote, historic and primitive cabin must be hiked into via the Pot Mountain Trail (Trail 169).
