Blowout Mountain Trail #211

From the trailhead at Dixie Guard Station, the Blowout Mountain trail contours along the south side of a long ridge. Rising through mature lodgepole, the trail switchbacks for nearly a mile up to and over the end of this ridge. The timber opens for awhile and the trail becomes less steep atop the back of this ridge. Sections of this trail were used as mining access for the Robinson Dike and McKinley Mines.
