Boundary Trail #835

On October 5, 1979, this trail was designated as part of the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail, along with Kirks Fork Trail #830. This trail is part of a continuing route on the Meadow Creek Divide which ends in the vicinity of Buck Meadows at its intersection with American River-Selway Road #443.

General Information

Directions: Access #1: In Elk City, turn north on County Road #1859 (stay right at the first intersection) and continue to the T junction where the road becomes American River-Selway Road #443; turn left onto #443 and continue 9 miles to its junction with Boundary Trail #835. Total miles by road northeast of Elk City to the trail junction is 12.5 miles. Access #2: In Elk City, just past the Elk City Hotel on the left, turn left onto American River Road (American River-Selway road #443) and continue past the Elk City Ranger Station. Stay right until you get to the gate at the junction with Road #1810. Road #1810 is closed to vehicles over 50-inches in width. Continue on Road #1810 to Kirks Fork Trail #830; via Kirks Fork Trail continue 4.4 miles to Divide Trail #505; continue 0.8 mile north on Divide Trail #505 to Anderson Butte.
