Potlatch Canyon Trail #765

What was once an old railroad bed just down the road from the town of Deary, Idaho, is now the delightful Potlatch Canyon hiking trail.  This trail is an amazing place to experience colorful wildflower displays, take in views overlooking the canyon, stroll in and out of the shadows created by towering cedar trees and ponderosa pines and experience the panoramic views awaiting you in wide open meadows--you might even catch a glimpse of a moose!

Trail 765: A.K.A. The Potlatch Canyon Trail; 5.3 miles; approx. 3 miles; a loop trail which travels along a paved surface for the first half mile, comes to picnic table and then breaks into forest land, travels alongside a canyon, then next to the river, passes through a meadow and ends back at junction with FS Road 1963 near the mouth of Meadow Creek.
