South Fork Campground, located off Highway 14 along the South Fork of the Clearwater River, has 9 sites for RVs and tent campers. You may find a Volunteer Campground Host during the operating season. Site #3 is 31 feet long, and site #8 is 25 feet long. All other sites are shorter.

Current Conditions: Open year-round, but might not be accessible because of snow.
Reservations: Campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.   There is a group use site available for reservations from late May to late September. To make reservations, visit or call 1-877-444-6777.
Fees $12.00 per night. There is an additional fee of $3 for each extra vehicle.
Open Season: The campground is open year-round, but might not be accessible because of snow.
Best Season: May-October
Restrictions: Garbage services are not available. Pack It In, Pack It Out.
Closest Towns: Grangeville, Idaho
Water: There is drinking water during peak season

General Information

Directions: From the east end of Grangeville, turn south on the Grangeville Salmon Road and turn left at the drive-in theater toward the small town Mt. Idaho. Continue on the Mt. Idaho Grade, and junction with State Highway 14 headed toward Elk City. South Fork Campground is located at Mile Post 14 on Hwy 14.
