Lost Cove TR 196

This trail accesses the community of Lost Cove. The town is now deserted but remnants of the school, church, grist mill and some homes remain. The trail offers several views of the Nolichucky River Gorge with its sheer rock cliff. No campsites available along the trail.

Directions:

Current Access: You take can take FSR 278,  at the Spivey entrance, and then park at a gated FSR road named Bearwallow. You'd have to park at that gate, but you can hike it to Devils Creek trail that intersects with the Lost Cove Trail.
