Rentals & Guides: Various Outfitter and guides are available for whitewater rafting and fishing.
Fees: $2 per person for a daily pass and $10 per person for an annual pass. Fee is for rafting on the Nantahala River. If planning a trip with a permitted outfitter, the daily fee is included.
Usage: Heavy
Restrictions: Alcohol is prohibited at recreation sites along the gorge and on the Nantahala River.

General Information

Directions: From Franklin follow 64W to Old Murphy Road (SR 1442) turn right and travel .2 miles to SR 1310 W Wayah Road and turn left. For 28 miles stay on 1310 W which passes Nantahala Lake. Continue through Beechertown passing the Nantahala River Launch Site. Make a right onto US 19N/74E and welcome to the Gorge.
