Badin Horse Camp or Old Horse Camp
This is a primitive camping area where people camp in self contained RV/Horse Trailers. It is located in an open field with tie outs for the horses. No amenities available.
Campers must take their trash with them or take it to the trash dumpster in Canebrake Horse Camp.

General InformationDirections: From Troy, take 109 N through Uwharrie to Mullinix Rd. just past Macedonia Church. Turn left onto Mullinix Rd. Go past a small bridge and the Horse Camp will be on the right.

This site allows for individuals and small groups to camp in a primitive setting next to the trails on the Uwharrie National Forest. There are no facilities on-site. Trash must be taken from your campsite and disposed of at home or at one of our campground dumpsters in the area.

Alcohol is prohibited at this site.
Camping available. Pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash and under control. The trail system is immediately accessed via the Home Trail (#710) to the north and west of the camping area.
