Nestled below the Blue Ridge Parkway on the Pisgah National Forest is the birthplace of forestry in America - the Cradle of Forestry.

The Cradle abounds with ways to have fun while learning about the forest, traditional Blue Ridge culture, and forest management.

Paved trails - perfect for strollers and wheelchairs - put the forest at your fingertips.

Operational Hours: Operational Hours for 2018 are April 7-November 11
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Fees Fees: $6 regular admission; 50% admission for youth ages 4-12 and federal interagency passholders; FREE admission for Friends of the Cradle members; series of special event prices throughout the season; there are no longer discounted days on Tuesdays. 
Open Season: April 9 - November 6
