Hangover Alt. Trail #56A

  

The Hangover Lead Alternate Trail offers access to the Hangover, a rocky point with a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains.  Starting at a junction with the Hangover Lead “South” Trail on the ridge, this trail goes north, passing through  Saddle Tree Gap, a popular camping area, then following a rocky ridge with heavy brush to the lookout area among boulders.  Considered one of the best viewpoints in the southeast, this is approximately a three hour climb from Big Fat Gap Trailhead.

Difficulty: Easy

Usage: Moderate

Average Hiking Times: 15 Minutes
