Delancy West trailhead

Lake Delancy West provides an OHV recreation area along Lake Delancy with OHV corrals, access to numerous marked OHV trails along the Ocala North OHV Trail System, and camping along the lake. The recreation area also serves as a trailhead and designated campground along the hiking-only Florida Trail.

Restrictions:
  • OHV riders must remain on trails marked for their use.
  • All Ocala National Forest campgrounds allow pets, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and are not permitted in designated swimming and picnicking areas.
  • There is a maximum stay limit of 14 consecutive days in a 30 day period.
Closest Towns: Lake Delancy is off SR 19 between Salt Springs and Palatka in the northeastern part of the Ocala National Forest.

Passes: OHV passes are required for use of the trail system. Please see the Passes & Permits section for full details. Passes include an annual $75 pass, a 7-day $25 pass, and a $10 pass ($5 for operators under age 16) good for one to three days.

General Information

Directions:

From Salt Springs, drive north along SR 19 for 5.7 miles to the "Lake Delancy" sign on the left side of the highway. Turn left. Follow this forest road, NFR 66, around the north side of the lake to the campground and day use area entrance clearly marked on the left.

Campground Camping

Tent and small trailer camping is available at 30 sites within the pine forest along the western shore of Lake Delancy. All sites are within close proximity to the OHV corral, the Ocala North OHV Trail System, and the Florida Trail.

There are no facilities except portable or vault toilets.

There is a maximum stay limit of 14 consecutive days within a 30 day period.
