Ocklawaha River

The Ocklawaha River, which borders the Ocala National Forest on the west and north, is the largest tributary of the St. Johns River. The source of the Ocklawaha is Lake Griffin, the final lake of the Harris Chain. The upper watershed for the Ocklawaha River includes the Green Swamp and the badly polluted Lake Apopka. The Ocklawaha River flows north along the western boundary of the Ocala National Forest before turning east to flow into the St. Johns River.
