Sugar Creek Trail

Designed as a barrier-free trail, the wide and asphalt-surfaced Sugar Creek Trail is intended to provide easy access along Sugar Creek within the campground while protecting sensitive riparian resources from the effects of concentrated use.  This trail is accessed by either Sugar Creek Campground or Sugar Creek Day Use Area and is subject to their operating seasons.

Day Hiking

This trail loops around beautiful Sugar Creek between the campground and day use area. Two wood footbridges across Sugar Creek complete a figure-8 loop with short side spurs, allowing enjoyable walks for visitors who will be staying close to camp. The year-round stream and shady ponderosa pine forest offer some welcome relief from the heat of summer.
