Ponderosa Loop Trail (#801)

  
Originating at Bandit Springs Sno-Park and Trailhead this trail weaves through an incredible forest of graceful old ponderosa pine growing on rolling hills with flower-filled meadows in spring and summer.  
 
This trail primarily follows old logging roads, which makes for easy hiking or mountain biking in the summer and enjoyable crosscountry skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.
 
For those folks looking for a little longer adventure, this trail links up with several others including: Ochoco Way (#806), McGinnis Creek Loop Trail (#802), Easy (#811), and Woodpecker(#810), so you can really go for as long or short of an outting as you desire.

This short trail is a great way to break up a long drive or just go for a brief adventure.  If you desire a longer trip there are several other trails that connect to the Ponderosa Loop Trail.
