Mother Lode Mine Trail (#808A)

Resized motherlode slide

This trail originates at the Mother Lode Mine Trailhead located at the end of Forest Service Road 4205.

The trail goes to the old mine site where there are still remnants of the buildings and systems used when the mine was operational.

The Forest Service is not actively maintaining the structures so they are best observed from a short distance.  This is a great exploratory hike for folks who are curious about the mining history of the Ochoco National Forest.
