Cole Loop Trail (#854)

This is the largest loop trail on the Crooked River National Grassland. Cole Loop Trail (#854) can be accessed from three different trailheads: Cyrus, Scales Corral, and Trail Crossing Corrals. The trail is a total of 25 miles, but if extra distance is desired the Warner Loop Trail (#854A) offers and addtional 8.9 miles.
This trail was designed with endurance horse riders in mind; however, hikers and mountain bikers are welcome to use it as well.

Mountain Biking
Recreation areas with activity Mountain Biking:This trail is moderately flat, with some elevation changes from Gray Butte to Trail Crossing Corrals, so it is great for folks who are just getting started mountain biking, or those looking for a long mostly easy ride.
Horse Riding
Recreation areas with activity Horse Riding:This long ride offers a good opportunity to train horses for endurance events or just spend most of the day riding.
