Scaffold Ridge/Oval Peak Trail

  

Access forest road 4300-560 is no longer accessible after an access bridge washed out on forest road 4300-550, so the road is not open or maintained. This trail begins at Forest Service Road 4300-560 and follows Scoffold Ridge Trail 426 until it ends at West Fork Buttermilk Crek Trail, about 1 mile north of Fish Pass. This trail is no longer maintained and can be hard to find and follow.

General Information

Directions:

From Twisp take Okanogan County Road 9114 (Twisp River Road) west for 11 miles, then take County Road 1050 (Buttermilk Road) across Twisp River  turn left going east. This road continues as Forest Service Road 4300 for about 5 mile turn right onto forest road 4300-500 road, watch on right for Forest Service Road 4300-550 for closed gate (washed out bridge is no longer safe for traffic).
