Company Creek Trail #1243

Company Creek trail begins in the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area and climbs steeply for the first 2 miles through open forest to enter Glacier Peak Wilderness. It then traverses a steep side hill, rocky bluffs and slide paths through thicker timber to Company Creek crossing at 5 miles. The trail then follows the creek to the head of the basin and switchbacks steeply to Hilgard Pass.

Note: The trail is narrow and the tread is in poor maintenance in spots. It is not recommended for beginning stock or handlers. Company Creek crossing can be hazardous during peak runoff. It is good stream fishing with plenty of flat spots (no facilities) for camps. Water is plentiful but must be treated before consuming. Hilgard Pass is excellent for views and cross-country side trips. The pass can be quite dangerous when covered with snow. If there is a chance of snow, bring an ice axe.
