Oval Pass Trail #1259.13

  

This steep 1 mile trail connects Oval Pass with the Summit Trail #1259. You’ll find beautiful views with wildflowers (in spring and summer) and larch trees as Oval Pass Trail goes through a sub-alpine basin within the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.

Directions:

From Twisp, drive west on Twisp River Road / County Road 9114. At about 10 miles the county road joins Forest Service Road 44. Continue another 1.5 miles and turn left across the bridge just above War Creek Campground. Then turn left at the intersection onto Forest Service Road #4420. Go ½ mile; turn right on to Forest Service Road #4420-080 to the Oval / Eagle Trailhead. Take Eagle Creek Trail #410 to Oval Creek Trail 410A

Parking:

There are two main parking areas (for a fee) for up lake travel when using the Lady of the Lake services.  The Boat company dock in Chelan and Field’s Point Landing, located 17 miles out of Chelan on the South Shore road.
