Prince Creek Campground

Area Status: Open

SPECIAL NOTICE: Crews from the Forest Service and the Washington Conservation Corps pull and hand-spray Crupina, a noxious weed, in this area during April. The crews camp at Prince Creek Campground. The campground will be open to the public, however available camping sites will be limited and the campground will be more crowded during this time.

This boat-in campground is located on the shores of Lake Chelan and borders Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.

The area offers a floating dock with a three boat capacity. Prince Creek offers six tent sites, five fire rings, five tables, and three toilets. Good site for larger groups.

Provides access to: Lakeshore Trail #1247, Prince Creek Wilderness Trail #1255 within Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.

Fees:	A Federal Dock permit is required from May1st to October 31st for use of all National Forest Service and National Park Service docks. Permits must be pre-purchased before docking. Purchase a $10 Day Permit or $75 Season Pass from one of the vendors around the Lake Chelan Valley. Click here for a list of vendors and more information about dock permits. Campers hiking in or dropped off by the ferry and not using the dock do not need to pay the fee.

Accessibility:

The majority of The Chelan Ranger District hiking and camping areas are only accessible by personal boat or ferry. The Lady of the Lake provides up lake travel from Chelan to Stehekin with stops available at Fields Point, Prince Creek, Moore Point, and Lucerne. Please check their website for availability, fees, and scheduling.

The Lady of the Lake and Stehekin Ferry provide commercial passenger ferry service between Chelan, Fields Point Landing, and Stehekin with stops available at Fields Point, Prince Creek, Moore Point, Lucerne and other locations along Lake Chelan. These commercial ferry services provide a variety of transportation options for the public. Personal Boat

Boat Launches
Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park is a popular boat launch for accessing many up lake recreation sites via personal boat. Please check their website for amenities, fees, and schedule: parks.wa.gov/293/Twenty-Five-Mile-Creek

There are also boat launches from Manson, Chelan and Lake Chelan State Park. Click here to visit chelanpud.org for more information on the boat launches around Lake Chelan. None of these launches are managed by the Chelan Ranger District.

Boating Distances

From Chelan, boat approximately 34 miles up lake. Prince Creek Campground is on the north shore.

From Chelan, travel south on Highway 97A for 3 miles. Turn right onto Southshore Road and go approximately 17 miles to Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park. From the Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park boat launch, boat approximately 15 miles to Prince Creek Campground on the north shore.
