September 28, 2020 -- CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. We are experiencing an outbreak of mountain pine beetle that is causing high mortality rates in the lodgepole pines surrounding Riders Camp. We are currently working on the environmental assessment that will allow for the falling and utilization/salvage of the trees. At this time an estimated date for reopening cannot be given.  

This camping area has an improved dispersed camp area for groups. Seasonal stock water available at the creek.

Current Conditions: Closed due to hazard trees in the campground.  These trees will be removed when chainsaw operators are available.     
Fees $5/vehicle/night or Recreation Pass required for parking and camping. Day passes available at the trailhead. Discover Pass not valid on National Forest Lands.

General Information

From I-90 Exit 101, northwest of Ellensburg, WA travel south and southeast onto Thorp Highway for 2 miles. Turn right onto Miller Road and follow it to the junction with Robinson Canyon Road, where Miller changes to Cove Road. Follow Cove Road to the junction with Manastash Road and turn right and follow Manastash Road to the end of the pavement. Continue on Forest Road 3100 to spur road 114 and follow it to the trailhead.
