Operational Hours: Early May - early November
Fees: $5/vehicle/day or Northwest Forest Pass, or Federal Interagency Recreation Pass required at trailhead. Fee tube located on the left as you enter the parking area. Discover Pass not valid on National Forest land.
Permit Info: Alpine Lakes Wilderness permits are required. The self-issuing permits are free and are available at trailheads.

General Information

General Notes:

This trailhead is extremely busy 7 days a week during the summer months. Have a plan B. 


Directions:

From Cle Elum, WA take State Highway 903 19 miles to the entrance of Salmon La Sac Campground. 

Do not enter the campground, rather veer right on the gravel road to the trailhead, about 1/4 mile 


Parking:

Parking, toilets, hitch rails, and stock ramps available at the Salmon La Sac trailhead.

Please observe and obey parking signs, so as to avoid blocking vehicles towing trailers.
