Bumping Lake Trail #971


This trail accesses William O Douglas Wilderness. The trail crosses into the Wilderness and travels south to access the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail at Fish Lake.  Creek crossings can be potentially difficult in early season.

General Information


No facilities.  Trailhead is located in summer home area.  Respect private ownership.  Parking for one horse trailer and four cars.


Located off Highway 410 near milepost 88. From Naches, WA travel west on Highway 12 for 4.4 miles. Continue straight onto Highway 410 W for 27.5 miles. Turn left onto Bumping River Rd / Forest Road 1800. Follow Bumping Road 1800 for 10.9 miles to spur road 394, turn right, road crosses Bumping Reservoir dam. Drive slowly pass Bumping Lake Marina and summer homes for 2.3 miles to trailhead at end of road.
