Tieton Meadows Trail #1128

A steep trail within Goat Rocks Wilderness that contains switchbacks. Junction with Bear Creek Mountain Trail #1130.

Crossing the river could be hazardous during high water.  Not recommended for horses.

  • Camping prohibited within 100 feet of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail and within 100 feet of lakes.
  • Shoe Lake basin and Snow Grass Flats are closed to camping and campfires; camping is available at Hidden Springs (about 1 mile west of Shoe Lake).
  • The Yakima Indian Reservation, bordering the Goat Rocks Wilderness on the southeast side, is closed to the general public except for the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail route

General Information

Directions:

From Packwood, WA take US-12 E for 27.5 miles and turn right on Forest Road 1200 (Tieton Reservoir Road) and follow for 2.9 miles. Continue straight on Forest Road 1207 for 5 miles to Scatter Creek - Nac Trailhead.

Outhouse, horse ramp, stock water, four campsites.
