Prince Creek Motorized Trail #1255.1

  

The Prince Creek Motorized Trail begins at Cub Lake and ends at Horsehead Pass. This trail is located in the Sawtooth Backcountry. Generally, the trail has water available but it should be treated. Campsites are available at the Summit Trail #1259 intersection and at Boiling and Cub lakes. This trail is rated “Most Difficult” for motorbike travel. Part of the trail has collapsed and the remaining tread is very narrow on the first switchback down from the top of Horsehead Pass.

Directions:

From Chelan, drive north on Highway 97 to Pateros. Turn left onto Highway #153 for 17 miles. Take the Gold Creek Road #4340 / County Road 1034. Take a left on Gold Creek Road and go 6 miles to Crater Creek Road #4340-300. Take Crater Creek for 4.6 miles to the Crater Creek Trailhead. Take Eagle Lakes Trail #431 for 8 miles to Horsehead Pass where trail becomes Prince Creek Motorized Trail #1255.1.
