Lorraine Ridge Trail #1568 is a long steep trail within Alpine Lakes Wilderness gaining 2000 vertical feet in 4 miles. It begins at a junction with the Icicle Creek Trail #1551, about 6.5 miles from the Icicle Creek Trailhead. It ends at Lake Lorraine.
Horse feed at is available at the ridgetop and water is available at Lake Lorraine only.

The trail begins 6.7 miles up the Icicle Creek Trail #1551 from the Icicle Creek Trailhead. To access the trailhead from Leavenworth, WA, head southwest on Icicle Creek Road/ Forest Road 7600, and follow it for about 20 miles. (Stay left on Forest Road 7600 after passing Icicle Gorge Trailhead at about 16 miles up Icicle Creek Road.) The trailhead is located at the end of Icicle Creek Road/ Forest Road 7600.
Alternately, the trail may be accessed heading South from Stevens Pass on the Pacific Crest Trail #2000 for 4-1/2 miles, then 5-1/2 miles on Icicle Creek Trail #1551.
