South Creek Trailhead

TRAIL CLOSURE
The trail is closed approximately 2.5 miles up South Creek Trail #401 at a gated private property boundary. There is no public access through the private land. There are no alternative routes around the private property due to steep terrain and high water crossings.
LOUIS LAKE TRAIL #428 IS OPEN

Gives access to South Creek Trail #401 which enters Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.

General Information

Directions:

From Twisp drive west on Twisp River Road (county road 9114). At about 12 miles the Twisp River Road becomes Forest Service Road 44. Continue on Forest Service Road 44 for 5 miles, road then becomes a gravel road and Forest Service Road 4440, continue another 5 miles to South Creek Campground and South Creek Trailhead on the left side of the road.
