The 4 mile moderate trail makes a loop back to the trailhead. The trail is hard to follow at first and then goes through an old growth stand of timber with seasonal ponds. There are many scenic views halfway around the loop and ends through another open stand of timber.

Directions:

From Tonasket, take State Route 20 east for 24 miles to County Road #4953 (Bonaparte Recreation Area). Take County Road #4953 6 miles where it turns into Forest Service Road #32. Drive the Forest Service Road #32 for 2 miles to Forest Service Road #3240. Drive the Forest Service Road #3240 for 6 miles to the parking area at the trailhead on the left.
