Buckskin Ridge Trail #498

Area Status: Unreachable

Mostly a ridge trail that alternates between subalpine forest and above timberline zones. The trail elevation varies as it passes two lakes and crosses two passes before descending to the Pasayten River. There is limited parking at the Slate Pass Trailhead. The trail route is mostly above timberline and offers many views. For those seeking solitude the trail is generally not used much passed Silver Lake. At about 0.5 mile, there is a cutt-off trail to the Robinson Creek-Middle Fork Trail #478, making loop trips possible via both the Middle Fork and West Fork drainages.
