Ferguson Lake Trail #474A

  

Trail #474 once was loop trail that skirted Wildcat Mountain and followed Eureka Creek, now maintained only to junction #474A then to Ferguson Lake. Trail #474A leaves the main trail and travels up an open avalanche chute then sidehills around to Ferguson Lake, lying in a cirque of Wildcat Mountain.

Directions: Northern Terminus: Ferguson LakeĀ  Southern Terminus: Robinson Pass Trail #478, about 1.5 miles north of Robinson Pass.

Highlights: Good views of the Middle Fork and Slate Peak areas. Specific Hazards/Difficulties: This trail is steep and rocky in sections. Few campsites, very limited grazing. Pack feed.
