Freezeout Ridge Trail #345

  

Magnificent 3.7 mile ridge walk or horseback through subalpine forests and meadows. This trail is rated as more difficult. Excellent views of some North Cascades peaks and the Pasayten Wilderness. Take side trips to Tiffany Mountain (Elevation 8245) and along ridge to Clark Peak (Elevation 7890). Lots of scenery and wildlife observation opportunities. This trail ties in to the North Summit Trail #369 then continues on for .5 mile to Tiffany Lake Trail #373. No reliable water available on the trail.

Directions:

From C o n c o n u l l y take County Road. #2017 southwest around C o n c o n u l l y Reservoir for approximately 3 miles.  County Road #2017 turns into Forest Service Road #37.  Travel Forest Service Road # 37 for about 21 miles to the junction with Forest Service Road #39. Turn right onto the Forest Service Road #39, then travel north 3 miles up Forest Service Road #39 to the top of the pass at Freezout Ridge.  Park along the road.
