Big Cove Campground

Big Cove Campground is a wonderful location for a family outing away from life in the big city. The campground has water, showers, flush toilets and trash service. It’s in a mixed conifer forest along the east shore of Frenchman Lake. Reservations are available for 15 of the 38 campsites. There is one group site. Campsite amenities include paved RV / parking pad, picnic table, fire ring and grill.

Reservations: Sites can be reserved online at www.Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. The campground has about half reservation and half first come first served sites.

There are eleven sites that are accessible. Some bathrooms are accessible.


Directions:

Take Highway 395 North from Reno NV. to Highway 70 West. Proceed west to Chilcoot CA. Head North at Chilcoot 7 miles to Frenchman Lake. Cross the Dam and proceed to the campground entrance on the left.


Parking:

2 vehicles per campsite where space is available.
