Gold Lake Campground
Gold Lake Campground is located along the shores of Gold Lake at an elevation of 6,400 feet. There are 37 campsites available. For the 2024 Recreation Season, all sites will be first come, first serve.
The road leading north of the boat launch facility is narrow and rough and may not be suited to your vehicle. Vault toilets are available and from May to October portable toilets are installed. Trash collection is available from May to October. No water is available.

Directions:
Take Highway 89 southeast from Graeagle, California for two miles. Proceed south on Gold Lake Highway for 10 miles to Gold Lake.

Campground Camping
There are 37 campsites with tables, fire rings, food lockers and toilet facilities. Garbage service is provided. There is no water.

RV Camping
The campsites before the gold Lake Boat Launching Facility are more easily accessed than sites along the road extending to the north. That sections of the road is narrow and rough. Larger RV units should not enter that part of the campground.
Interpretive Areas
There are three nearby interpretive sites available.
- Frazier Falls Trail
- Lakes Basin Petroglyphs - located just west of Lakes Basin Campground
- Red Fir Interpretive Trail - located just south of the entrance to Gold Lake Campground
