Lakes Basin Campground is located in the Lakes Basin Recreation Area.  Located nine miles southwest of Graeagle, California, this recreation area has special geological features.  There is breathtaking scenery and over 20 small lakes nearby, most of which are accessible by hiking trails.  This area provices a multitude of recreational activities including camping, fishing, boating, hunting, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking, hiking, backpacking, swimming, windsurfing and nature study.

Current Conditions: Closed due to deep snow and closure of Lakes Basin Highway. This campground is expected to open in May 2018
Operational Hours: This campground remains open in winter months becoming inaccessible due to weather conditions and closure of Lakes Basin Highway.
Reservations: Sites can be reserved by calling 1-877-444-6777 or online at www.Recreation.gov  The campground has about half reservation and half first come first serve.

Take County Road 519 off of State Route 89 just out of Graeagle, California.  Proceed north approximately nine miles to campground turnoff.
