Lynx Lake Recreation Area

Operational Hours: Day-use sites and trailheads:
  • March 1 - April 30: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • May 1 - September 30: 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • October 1 - February 28 (or 29): 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Open Season: Year-round
Restrictions:  
  • Pets must be on a leash (6' maximum)
  • Electric motors or 10 HP or less gas-powered motors only

  • Lynx Lake is a man-made lake of approximately 55 surface acres and is periodically stocked with trout.
  • A valid fishing or combination license is required for resident and non-resident anglers 10 years of age or older fishing any public accessible water in Arizona.
  • Use of boat motors is limited to electric motors and 10 HP or less gasoline-powered motors only.
  • Please see the news release dated August 28, 2020 for more information about swimming in the lakes on the Forest.
  • Rentals and Guides:
    • Lynx Lake Store and Marina: Fishing/Camping supplies, bait, boat rentals and firewood. Store Hours: Weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Friday to 8 p.m.), Saturdays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Restaurant: Breakfast and lunch daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Both store and restaurant are closed Mondays (except holidays).
