Mingus Mountain

Located in the cool pines of central Arizona, Mingus Mountain offers a wide range of recreational opportunities including: picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, camping, fishing, hunting, hang gliding, and paragliding. Mountain Biking

Coleman Trail #108, Gaddes Canyon Trail #110, and Yeagar Canyon Trail # 28 allow use of mountain bikes.

Campground Camping

Potato Patch Campground and Mingus Mountain Campground

RV Camping

Recreation areas with activity RV Camping:

Potato Patch Campground has 12 sites with electrical hook-ups for RVs, and many sites in the non-electric loop can accommodate RVs as well. Mingus Mountain Campground has 19 sites that accommodate RVs, but there is no electricity available at this time. Drinking water is available for campground guests for use on site, but not for filling RV water tanks.

Summit, Viewpoint, and Mingus Day-Use areas each have several picnic tables and charcoal grills. Mingus Lake has one picnic table, sheltered by a ramada, but no grill.
