***ALERT: Mingus Mountain Campground Temporarily Without Electricity!***

In July of 2016, a lightning strike knocked out electricity to all sites in the campground. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have questions please call the Verde Ranger Station at (928) 567-4121.

Site Description: Located in the cool pines atop Mingus Mountain, this campground offers a spectacular view of the Verde Valley, the red rocks of Sedona, the San Fransisco Peaks near Flagstaff, and the Mogollon Rim.

Facilities

19 trailer/rv electrical hook-ups (Electricity currently not working.)
11 tent sites: One loop with five sites is open only when needed for overflow; Neither tent loop has water hydrants, but visitors spending the night may fill water containers in E-Loop for use within the campground.

Garbage service
Drinking water is available for campground guests for use on site, but not for filling RV water tanks

Current Conditions:	This location is closed. Affected reservations have been canceled and refunds will be issued (if the site accepts reservations). Local managers are committed to the health and safety of recreational visitors and our staff. We are following the guidelines from our department and the CDC regarding COVID-19, closely monitoring the situation and responding to current conditions.

Restrictions:	Quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Campfires in developed fire pits only Fireworks are prohibited Dogs must be on leash (6' maximum) OHV/ATV use prohibited in the campground Maximum length of stay: 14 days in 30-day period on the Prescott National Forest including stays at dispersed recreation sites.

Maximum vehicle length: 22-40 feet

Directions:

Off of Hwy 89A (between Prescott Valley and Jerome), turn on Forest Road 104 (at the Summit Picnic Site). Follow dirt road approximately 2.5 miles to 4-way stop. A right turn takes you into the campground.

Campground Camping

Bear country: Food must be stored securely and campsites kept clean!
Each camp site usually accommodates one vehicle towing a camp trailer plus one additional vehicle (there is a charge for additional vehicle). Vehicles must be parked in space provided on site - not along the road.
Sites are designed for 5 people; a maximum of 10 is allowed only to accommodate a single large family.

RV Camping

Depending on the site, trailers between 22 feet to 40 feet in length can be accommodated. Water is available for use in the campground, but NOT for filling RV water tanks.
