Wapaca Trail #1486
Wapaca Trail #1486 is a ½ mile trail that connects to the Colorado Trail #1776 Segment 12-Clear Creek in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness. The trail is accessed from the Wapaca/Lienhart Trailhead on FSR 307 (Morrison Creek Road).
The Collegiate Peaks Wilderness was established in 1980 to preserve its quality, character, and integrity. This area is intended to be a place where the imprint of humans is substantially unnoticed; where natural processes are the primary influences, and human activity is limited to primitive recreation and minimum tools. Please follow Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics to ensure that this and future generations experience this special place in its natural condition.

General Information
Directions:From Buena Vista: Travel north on US Highway 24 for about 7 miles. Turn left on to County Road 386 which becomes Forest Service Road 386 after about a mile. Travel on FSR 486 for about 1/2 mile then turn right at the for for FSR 387. Travel on FSR 387 to the end of the road for the Wapaca/Lienhart Trailhead.
