Winfield Mining Camp Interpretive Site

The Winfield site has original buildings from the late 1800’s to the 1940’s, the site has interpretive panels and signs. These buildings serve as recreation residences except the Ball Cabin and the Schoolhouse. Visit Winfield Mining Camp for more information.

General Information
Directions:From Leadville: Travel 19 miles south on US Highway 24, turn right on Lake County Road 390 (Clear Creek Road) then travel 11 miles on CR 390 to the site.
From Buena Vista: Travel 14 miles north on US Highway 24, turn left on Lake County Road 390 (Clear Creek Road) then travel 11 miles on CR 390 to the site.
The first few miles of Lake County Road 390 (Clear Creek Road) go through private property, please be respectful and stay on the road.
